I’ve started consulting with one goal in mind:
to help families of children with learning difficulties.
Hi! I’m Isabelle! I’m an Early Childhood Educator and Montessori teacher.
I’m a mother of 3 beautiful boys. Aged 3,10 and 12 as I write this. I’m fully bilingual in French and English.
Between my children, I have to work with Dyslexia, ADHD, Dyspraxia, as well as language issues. Now, if I didn’t have my background in Early Childhood Education (ECE), I’d be pulling my hair out, and I would probably be bald by now. HaHa.
I also have to work with the father of my two eldest boys who believes that women should stay in the kitchen and shouldn’t have an opinion on the matter..! So I’ve dealt with conflicting parenting styles too!
As parents, we struggle with all sorts of issues!
Every day, we act as referees between siblings; we deal with diverging parenting styles; we help our children overcome their fears and learning difficulties, work through their emotional issues, etc…
My work with young children has helped me figure out a lot of things, but I continue to learn. I’ve continued my studies and went deep into the world of learning disabilities such as ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Anxiety, Depression, and more.
I’ve also studied childhood psychology to help families understand and find a way to work with their children to overcome these learning disabilities; NOT work around them.
